1. If you aint holding you aint trying....
  2. Maybe they're on a list, but none of the talking heads I've seen are mentioning them. Of course, I don't watch 24/7, so it's possible that I miss the Saints segments
  3. these are some under the radar guys we got in FA but look to be top talent and quality dudes. Just how we want it. And after last year, Brees & Payton will be wanting to prove themselves agains.

This is going to be a very good team. With the Sproles signing and beefing up the d-line, it shouldd be what we needed.

    Backfield is crowded:

    PT
    Sproles
    Ingram
    Ivory
    Hamilton

Is Ivory still hurt? Im guessing Hamilton will be cut if he hasnt been prior.
  4. Hamilton has been cut.
  5. There seems to be a little bit of a disconnect between the online kudos to the Saints and what the guys on espn, etc. are saying. My take is that talking about the fat boys at DT that win championships just isn't sexy enough. They want to showcase the New York teams, (think ratings) and they can feature a story about the colorful Rex Ryan. Of course the big name bad boys Chad Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth have to make the list. I saw a good many QB's, Kolb, McNabb, etc. The majority of fans know the QB's and are interested because they score points. Only the elite fans know who the DT of the lowly 49'er's are. It's about ratings. Don't think that some of the commentators opinions aren't altered by producers to make a more interesting show too. I'm not saying everyone of them do it, but it is done.
  6. FINALLY, some Saints coverage on the NFL network (even though the reporter was in Metairie, they started the segment talking about the Cowboys!)

Anyway, they're chatting them up pretty good now, talking about the FA additions. We did lose Jonathan Goodwin to SF. I didn't see that one coming. Freakin' sucks. Also lost Remi Ayodele, but I don't think we'll miss him as much with the FA signings on the D-line
  7. goodwin now replaced.

Ex-Bears center Kreutz lands with Saints

BOURBONNAIS -- Less than a week after Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo gave Olin Kreutz a take-it-or-leave-it offer that the veteran center rejected, he's found a new home.

  8. Good insurance move. I know they want Tennant to be the new center, but he's essentially a red-shirt freshman. Kreutz can step in and play right away if Tennant isn't as far along as they'd like.
  9. Per John Clayton (aka the counselor on South Park....mmmmmkoy):

  10. kreutz has been to many pro bowls I believe. I know he's one tough sob also. for some reason I was thinking he was with the patriots.

but this is another very good grab by loomis and payton. losing goodwin was a worry for only a day. already remedied.

also I wish espn demoted clayton to radio only--i dont think hes on their network much anymore. i like his analysis even though he has a face for radio. hes objective and doesnt try to make a name for himself by acting an idiot.

you know, like salsbury did constantly.
