Coach Miles is in an impossible situation. If he asked my advice, I would suggest: 1) He call a presser 2) State there has been no guilt established 3) But to clear distractions and only as a means to clear distractions and get on with prep 4) I am sitting the four down who are persons of interest to the police 5) I would repeat, this is to clear distractions and not about guilt, and 6) Better decisions, all around, would have resulted in different, more positive outcomes. I think that is as good as it can get. Unless he knows more that he has stated to date.
I still just think he was so angry that he spoke, but it was true on the video that I couldn't hear the reporters' questions. He did say something like, "Yes, T-Bob was there." It's just Miles-bashing, though, to make a huge deal out of it. If I was T-Bob's mommy, I might be more indignant, however.
i agree with the miles bashing. however, to be blunt, even if indignant, if there is anyone that needs to cut miles some slack and realize he is extremely pissed off about the damage that has been done, and also for possibly having trust abused, is t-bobs family. and i say that because of everything miles has done for t-bob, a bit of forgiveness and understanding just might be in order. a bit of quid pro quo.
disagree. huge difference if tbob was named by the reporter first. if not, it was uncalled for. In fact given his past, more reason to not single him out. would just be unnecessary imo. but this is all on the periphery. we have actual issues at the moment.
now this part i agree with! god only knows what is gonna happen. i believe the kids are innocent of being on a murderous rampage as being "advertised". however, someone(s) got a beat down, and no matter how well deserved it might have been, the "victims" are filing charges. seems there is also an ambulance chaser hell bent on trying this in the press and court of public opinion. throw in national media all over this, dragging the university's rep over the coals, and an AD who has not exactly shown restraint in the past for letting the justice system work, yeah, there are other issues more important. imo, miles is earning every penny of his pay right now. keeping this team together, and on track is gonna be a huge balancing act. not to mention there is a possibility of kids facing serious charges. the whole thing is a cluster.
All the players need to go These are grown men not little boys . The 12 years of school before going to LSU has only taught them one thing . Do what ever you want too, it will be ok. This was a speical team they ain't ,so speical now are they ?? Pack and go
Yep, but as long as it remains he said she said circumstantial evidence and no real evidence; video, confession, or a testamony of a player vs. another, I dont see how the DA has a case to bring to trial. Even with the medical reports from the hospital, the DA will need more, IMO
