Actually, not true at all. If the QB isn't going for a tackle the refs will protect him in any case where it's not a gump making the hit. Also, helmet to helmet, blind side hit. You're actually trying to defend this? If so, you're trash just like the Gump that made the hit.
Agreed, the QB is fair game when going for the tackle or tyring to make a play; Murray was nowhere near the play. I've seen other SEC teams, including LSU, get called for a PF on the same exact play. If it's going to be called that by SEC officials, why does Bama get off scott-free?
