1. Actually, Badfinger sang that.
  2. And you call yourself a Beatles fan

  3. Sure it wan't Little Finger?
  4. I do. McCartney wrote the tune for a movie soundtrack (The Magic Christian) and recorded a demo by himself, playing all the instruments. Badfinger recorded it and two of their originals for the film and released a hit single of "Come and Get it" in 1969.

In 1996 the McCartney demo was included on the 6-disk "Beatles Anthology" CD with a ton of other outtakes, demos, and oddball stuff from Abbey Road archival tapes. But was NOT a Beatles recoding session nor a Beatles record and McCartney is the only Beatle on it.

    And you call yourself trivial.
  5. That's Game of Thrones
  6. I was quoting the words of a Beatle. Badfinger, you or I or anybody could say them, sing them or etch them in stone but they are still the words written by a Beatle
  7. "The Beatles sang . . . " you said.
  8. Picky, picky
  9. Technically Paul did sing that line in a song by the Beatles
    Bengal B likes this.
  10. Not exactly. Technically Paul sang that line solo, it was not a Beatles recording. It was a McCartney song that decades later got put on the Beatles Anthology CD because Paul owns Apple Corp. They had a 6-CD set to fill with stuff only available on bootlegs before. Lots of weird stuff on there that does not qualify as a Beatles song.
