I watched it for the umpteenth time too, but this time, I noticed a quote by Herbstreit I'd never heard in previous viewings. Talking about LSU, he said in preparing for the national championship game, he'd never been around a more confident team in all his years in college football. Fowler agreed with him. I love that.

A lot of that confidence stemmed from the off the chart level of Joe Burrow. Accept St Joe as your savior and he will lead you to the promised land.

I think that's basically what they were referring to. Burrow's unmatched confidence infected the entire team to the point where they knew no one could beat them.
