1. Hoping that someone can explain how this office operates as it relates to LSU athletes and weed, and how this compares to other big time schools.

If I understand correctly, LSU has a policy against smoking weed, and the punishment if caught is to get kicked off the team. I believe this is the issue with Dare Rosenthal? He was caught smoking weed, kicked off the team, and transferred to Kentucky. How many other players did LSU lose because of this?

How does LSU's policy compare to other big time schools? Do other schools just look the other way?

  2. Seems like Woodward needs to fix this, but maybe the boosters like it this way.

  7. We (LSU) certainly seems to take it more seriously than other schools, even other SEC schools. I have no idea why. There is no way that only kids in Baton Rouge are smoking dope

  8. Excerpt from NCAA manual “What Student-Athletes Need to Know About Marijauna”
    “NCAA and Marijuana
•Marijuana is identified as a banned substance.
•A student-athlete who tests positive for marijuana in an NCAA administered drug test will be declared ineligible for competition and withheld from the next 50% of contests in all sports in which they compete.
  9. Yes, per the NCAA however I believe most schools have these NCAA administered test on the calendar. They know weeks if not months in advance so that there are no "issues"

    Apparently we don't do that.
