He won the press conference, for sure. He seems very process driven, always building and not so much directly concerned with results. I think that is a very good thing and what has made Saban successful.

I have been a LSU Tiger fan since 1958. I have had some level of awareness of how football works since the early 70s. Ironically, the most trouble I ever got in during my 24 year naval career was cheering (obnoxiously) as LSU beat Norte Dame in Baton Rouge in 1971. I have NEVER seen the performance, presence, demeanor of anyone standing in front of the LSU backdrop as Kelly just demonstrated. A total professional. If he can coach as well as he handled that presser we are in great shape. I am a little curious/concerned about how some on the team will handle such a presence. We will see!
Those are likely the people that might want to consider entering the portal if they can't give CBK the respect and attention he requires?
He talked a lot about personal discipline and accountability. You get even just 20-30 guys to REALLY buy into that and start holding each other accountable, it becomes contagious, and before you know it, you have 50, 60, 70 guys all policing themselves.
I think a lot of folks are doubting he's the real deal because they're not used to LSU landing the real deal as a coach. I like this hire more and more each day.
