One is a known hate group much like the ADL, SPLC, NAACP, etc. The other is a heritage foundation of sorts. You are comparing Byrd to saying that he hates apples and if McConnell doesn’t disavow pears then he is a bigger racist than Byrd. Byrd would be blameless of eating the forbidden fruit but his sin is passed to McConnell because he eats fruit from a tree. Byrd is guilty of original sin as is the Turnip in the Oval Office as evidenced by his use of the N WORD (did you hear ominous music?) over the decades.
