While I understand your anti-Brady sentiment, this is just flat out wrong. DJ Wright is a rivals top 120 player and that may be low because he plays in Canada--he got schollie offers from Syracuse and Pitt along with others--not exactly football schools. Q' Thornton was a highly ranked high school player out of FL who went to JUCO, and got an offer to go to Tennessee, another SEC school--so clearly he chose Brady's system over Pearl's. Green was the only "reach" in my opinion, and so, I agree with you on him---he'll have to prove to me that he's not benchwarmer or practice player when he gets here, but honestly, he'll probably redshirt and at 6'10" with a shot, he'll work his way in as a long term guy.

And, again, to say that we "blew it" on Arthur and Reynolds, by objective standards, is just flat out negativity. Both had never even thought of LSU until after the final four, and both had been recruited long-term by other schools. Arthur went to Kansas probably b/c he knew he'd have to play behind Big Baby and a Sr in Lazare and the "heir apparent" to T-Train and he's getting like 19 minutes a game at Kansas. Reynolds, who is from VA, chose Villanova, who's a more guard oriented offense closer to home. I fault LSU for losing DJ Augustin, and perhaps Tweety Carter, a lot more than "losing" Arthur and Reynolds. Those were longshots to begin with.

I qualified my statement with "according to Scout".

Arthur was comfortable at LSU and I believe it came down to a "dream" where was running out of the tunnel at Kansas.

I would disagree on #2 given that he had been verbally committed for some time to OU, if not having already signed a LOI. Sampson's system is very similar to CJB's, and Oklahoma is at least as far away from VA as is Louisiana.

All I'm saying is that those are the only 2 players that I would sit here and say we only got in on because of the Final Four.

what was the timing of Francis? Was Tac already signed or at LSU. If so, I repeat what I have always repeated on this forum. Francis would not come in with a top 3 point guard already at LSU. Doesn't matter if Tac was good or not.. Kids want playing time IMMEDIATELY!!!! If they aren't starting, they will go elsewhere.

I don't fault Ryan for leaving. He got killed WHILE BACK IN BR. What that says to me is that he was trying to "get out the ghetto" as it were and get away from some bad home influences and situations.

i'd accept that argument except (take note, martin) there wouldn't exactly be the long-term beefs over there that there might have been here.
