"As soon as a head coach starts listening to the fans, he will be sitting with them soon."

Les Miles should do just fine.

i'm curious, but how can you defend Bowden, who has 4 losses this year, and not defend Miles, who has only 2?

Bowden's problems this year prove what most intelligent people have known all along, W/L record isn't fully indicitive of how good or bad a coach is...

Did Phil Fulmer suddenly forget how to coach last year?

Or was Saban a far better coach in 03 (NC), than he was in 02 (4 losses)?

I am defending Miles. Bowden is one of the all time greats of coaching. He is also of age and experience to have a great deal of wisdom.

My point (although apparently not clearly made) is that Les is doing just fine. The fans will always bitch about something.

Don't we as fans have a right to bitch? We goto games, support our team when they are on the road and we can't make the trip by watching on TV. Now all that being said, do I agree with most of the post I read on this or other forums? No, I think our biggest problem this year is our OL. I don't believe that it's bad coaching or that JR is the wrong QB. With the OL that we have this year, I think Les Miles and JR have done a great job. We have been out of only one game this year with this schedule. And in that game, it wasn't the other team that beat us, it was us beating ourselves. I think everyone knows that the refs cost us the Au game, but we were in that one the whole way.

If LSU wins out this year, I think it will be a great year for us with this schedule, cause honestly LSU has weaknesses, the sad part is no team has exploited it this year, yet. To me that's good coaching and even better play by our QB, who is what 17-3 as a starter?

I think next year is our year, this year I want LSU to win out and win whatever bowl we goto. I will be cheering for any SEC team to win a national championship this year. But next year is our year. The reason I say this is because I heard on 870 am on some sports talkshow that this clown says that he would take any team against an SEC team in a BCS bowl for a national championship. Of course I think he said that because his USC team lost tonite.

Would OSU be undefeated in the SEC? I doubt it. Would USC of had the run they had? I really don't think so. How someone can have a nationally televised sports talk show and be so stupid is beyond me. What other confrence has like 5 or more teams constantly in the top 10 every year?

sheesh... My comments to Les Miles/JR is to keep on keeping on... screw the haters.

I watched the game and saw Bowden walk out onto the field after it was over. He looked like he has trouble walking. At some point its time to move on.

Just out of curiosity, wasnt that a Gene Stallings quote? Though, I am glad Bowden shut those reporters up.

But in this case the fans are right in calling for an OC coordinator change at FSU.

Just goes to show how valuable it is to have quality coordinators, no matter how good the head coach. FSU has steadily declined since Richt left, much like Tenn did after Cutcliffe left.

This also proves hiring family is just plain dumb. He needs to fire his son, but he won't.
