OH, believe me, he's not gay. He's the Edwards of Ca. If LSU can achieve what he's achieved with the babes there'll be no questions about "Did LSU underachieve".
The last 9 straight bowl games notwithstanding. :hihi: Cheer up - it is a new record, after all.
Well said. Very similar to how I feel about animal conservation. I am all for protecting them...until one dumps on my car. The next day there will be one less.:lol:
Don't forget about Alley B having his serious injury,( which he is just now after what? 2 years finally maybe about to overcome.)in regular afternoon practice. I think the whole thing we would like the PAC-10 people to just acknowledge even a small bit, uscvball, is how hard it is to win in the SEC over an ENTIRE season. We give ya'll props for coming into Auburn's backyard and beating the barners, that's great. Props for coming into Fayetteville and spanking the backs in what turned out to be an impressive year for them. We just like to think that year in and year out, playing an entire SEC schedule, basically whethere you like it or not is going to be grueling. Just look at some of the venues you have to play in with some of the most feared environments in the NCAA. Now for years I didn't want to give ya'll credit, but now I feel like the credit is due because ya'll definately have a tough OOC schedule. Ya'll are not afraid to play anybody anywhere, and that's a testament to the school and all. But if you were and AD and wanted to in the PAC-10 you could get away with a real creampuff if you felt like it. BTW you know why us LSU fan's are so passionate about this whole deal and will not back down. It's your boy Mike William's, I'll never forget the quote till the day I die: " I've seen them play and I've gotta tell you, I've seen sorority pillow fights rougher than what they had to play this year. (Might be a paraphrazed slightly but definately used "sorority pillow fight") -Mike Williams when asked about if he had seen LSU play this year and what he thought of them before they played Oregon state and LSU played Georgia in the SEC champ.
It's no longer something any rational fan can deny with the final rankings of the season, and the 7 SEC teams in the top ten in recruiting, among other things. I was pleasantly surprised to find some posts like this in the USC forum.
I can't speak for the entire Pac10. That's why I focus my comments around USC for the most part. The philosophies are different. The SEC seems content to play within their division and take that as SOS. I'm not disagreeing, simply making an observation. Apologies to other fans but I would think Death Valley is the toughest place to play in the SEC. USC can't do anymore than it has to improve SOS considerations. We travel coast to coast and try to hit in between as well. We played VaTech in an opener a few years back and just added Virginia to our schedule for 2008. We'll have Virginia, aOSU, and nd for our OOC schedule in one season. And despite nd's disappointing record over the last several years, the game between SC and ND is the longest intra sectional rivalry in CF and that makes South Bend a tough place for us to go every other year. I suppose USC could schedule a cream puff and yet we still have never played a Div 1-AA team and we also removed UH from our schedule for 2009. There is no point in scheduling soft when style points have become an issue and it leaves questions about true talent. I'm sure Mike Williams is like a lot of young, brash athletes (WR's for sure). They say things that are regretful and come back to bite you. In 2002 Kareem Kelly commented that the Pac10 had better corners than KState and their corners promptly kicked his/our butts. Since BMW is a potential target for JR in Oakland, let's hope he's got his mouth shut, his ears open, and his hands ready. Until then all I can hope is that LSU and USC handle their schedules this season and meet in January.
I would love to see that game as well and was hoping for it in 2003. There is no way to have seen it but the year you beat Auburn to start the season at their place i would love to have seen you follow that up with a Florida , Alabama , LSU , Georgia , Arkansas , Tennessee , with a couple of those on the road and a couple at home . Then i wonder if your SEC record would still be so perfect. That is my point. I am not saying that USC didnt have the best team money can buy. In fact they have paid great players wisely. IE Reggie Bush But i just wonder how those NFL salaried college players would have done with those follow up games.
