I can't watch. I didn't follow the regionals or SRs, either. It's nothing but a painful reminder how far our baseball program has fallen in recent years. LSU baseball was the only thing that kept me sane during the 90s. Football sucked and basketball was going downhill fast. At least I have football to keep me sane these days.
The 13 inning thriller last nite won by Cal-Irvine over Fullerton was one heck of a baseball game. Oregon State shut down Az. State's offense which had been awesome up til then. Rice is hitting the ball better than I thought they could. North Carolina is better than they've shown. And Louisville's speed is fun to watch. Barry Larkin is not the best color man but better than I expected. And...I've seen some mighty purty girls in the stands. HDTV is the cat's pajamas.
Go Beavs!!.......as many of you know, my wife is an Oregon St. grad and I always try my best to please the Beavers.:hihi: OSU's Coach Casey is a real nice guy. I had the chance to meet him right after last Christmas at OSU and had a nice chat with him.
Congrats to OSU. They are playing great sound ball right now. I can't wait to seem them play Rice if and when they do. That should be a great game between two very sound coaches.
Ya gotta figure these two teams gotta cool off at some point. If they don't, it's gonna take a barrel full of baseballs to finish a game.
if thats the same idiot who made a thread declaring UF had zero shot against OSU then you may want to reconsider that source.  been some good games. wow on rice's offense. How many cws consecutive innings had they not scored in? 35 or so? they made up for the drought just a little. would like to see sparky anderson win one personally.
The freakin' Ant Eaters....man their games are entertaining. After ASU went up 7-3 in the 8th, I came to the computer, pulled the gamecast up, and two minutes later I was back watching it on television. Traditionally, this scenario they are about to run into doesn't usually bode well for them, but if they continue to scratch and claw, I am watching every inning they play the rest of the week....work permitting of course:wink: :thumb:
I love their name "The Anteaters" I'm enjoying the CWS this year even though the SEC did not show very well. Rice and UNC is gonna be a great game.
Louisville's bats finally cooled. Ditto for Sun Devils. The Anteaters are fun to watch. Their pint-sized center fielder plays pretty large. The fat Anteater drawing a walk last night was great. The cameramen followed him (in the dugout) the rest of the game. I don't beleive NC can beat Rice twice, will be surprised if they beat them once. I would say the same for the Anteaters beating the Beavers twice but those Anteater guys just don't quit. Still not believing the interference call when the Anteater 3rd base coach touched the runner. How does that happen ? Glad to see Fullerton and Arizona State go home.
