    LOL...true dat. I'll settle for going to Nola for the entire week before the game, partying and tailgating, and hitting Bourbon and watching the game at a bar...then getting drunker than I ever imagined possible when we whip lil' Petey's ass.

    If WVU couldn't get it done last year, that can't get it done. And they choked twice. So Louisville was a tough test--we have four or five such tough tests a year in the SEC.

    Rutgers? I'm not drinking the Kool-aid before they can turn in back-to-back winning seasons. For years, I didn't even know Rutgers played football.

    WVU=choke artists.

    OK, first and foremost, I'm an diehard LSU fan. However, I live in West Virginia. Yes, WVU should be ranked in the top 3 or 4. #2 is not farfetched. IF.......WVU had kept Slaton healthier by using another back, they wouldn't have faded at the end of the season last year. They're VERY good. If they improve defensively, they'll even be better. I have attended a few of their games, and I don't hand out praise easily. THEY are GOOD and shouldn't be overlooked. It could EASILY be LSU-WVU in Nawlings for the big one. I wouldn't be the least surprised.

    But my point is, if they are THAT good, why on earth can they not get it done with, let's face it, a REALLY easy schedule? That is why I have little faith in WVU. They do have a couple of the best skill players in college football, but they are prone to slipping up.

    If you think Louisville and S. Florida are "easy" wins, I think you're living in the past. The conference they play in is improved vastly in the last few years. If a team isn't on their "A" game, these teams will embarrass you. The biggest problem for WVU last year was the amount of carries by Slaton. He was overworked. I think WVU learned a lesson after he was banged up so hard for their last few games. In fact, I think they realize that Pat White can't run the damn ball without giving a better look at his receivers also. WVU concentrated hard on improving their defense over the summer also. Most of their wins came by an enormous amount of offense, and ultimately out-scoring their opponents. Football is a very important in this state. Not alot of cultural activities to be found in this hillbilly state.
    Have you noticed how many great football minds originate in Wv? They leave, but they grow up here. LSU has their share of W.Virginia people coaching in Baton Rouge. You can start with Satan,,,,,uh,,,,,,Saban. There's also a long time coordinator with LSU that was a large part of our National Championship team from WV. I'll let you guess that one.
    BUT,,,,,LSU is my love. Year before last, I was the ONLY purple jersey in the seats when LSU came up and beat WVU in their basketball arena. And I didn't get beat up on the way out.

    Maybe "easy" is a bit misleading, but they're no where near the Floridas, Auburns, SCs, UTs of the college football world. May be comparable to the Pac-1, but the fact that there seems to be a lot of parity in the Big East lately makes me give them a bit more credit.

    Yup, you do have a point. I think the SEC is unmatched in talent. Too bad we can't play their schedule. It'd be a much easier path to the trophy.
