  1. I agree with you. I come over to this board to get away from the irrational exuberance on the Bama boards. I don't count any chicks until they hatch. While it may turn out that Saban brings Bama fans out of their perpetual and eternal worship of Bryant, he hasn't won a game yet.
However, anyone can see that he is much more likely to return Bama to prominence in the SEC than Shula was.

  2. Alabama is gaga and deservedly so. They pay him so much money that their expectations are really high.

Nick has had great success in coaching college ball. The Miami thing didn't work out but it didn't work for Spurrier either and we know he is a good coach.

The NFL shouldn't be an end all in measuring how good a coach is college.

Nick was successful in MSU and his success there and his success in NFL def is what got him the LSU job and look at what he did at LSU. He made LSU a top tier program and won a title for us. Our success now is very much because of Nick. Now Miles is making a name for himself here.

Nick has proven many wrong in this forum, because many claimed that his recruiting would suffer because he was such a liar and players wouldn't want to play for him nor would they trust him coming out of high school. Well we see that he is doing a great job in keeping recruits in state. He is a great recruiter.

So I believe Alabama has the right to be gaga. They are over the top at times but Nick better provide wins soon. Just as a pendulum swings so does emotions when expectations are set extremely high and are not met.

I predict Nick will be successful and a SEC title contender by year 3.
  3. Everyone has fallen all over themselves with saban love. Come on guys when has saban been truly consistent. He and miles have had about the same amount of talent and without the NC miles has been a better coach. Better record, better job of sending guys to the pros, and if this year gets better he will be just as good of a recruiter. This is the same snake who left us at christmas and now recruits dirty. I think everyone should quit concentrating on satan and try supporting a coach who wanted to be here. MILES FOR GOVENOR!

  4. I remember some comments after he lost to UAB, that we had overpaid for him (and we were paying him 1.2).
  5. I can understand their excitement, but

sometimes they take 'coach-worship' to a different level.

I remember last year when Shula stopped going to church because fans went there and asked for his autograph during service.
  6. I love these Saban threads. Need at least one per day to get my fix.

    Thanks...

and then had that brick thrown threw his house?
  8. Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban,
Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban,
Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban, Saban.

There, does that help anyone get through the day?:hihi:
  9. That'll probably last me for a couple hours but after that I will defintely need more at this rate. It's an addiction I tell ya and the only thing to cure it is a good ol fashioned bama beatdown :thumb:
  10. What's amazing is how many saban thread haters there are that post in every single saban thread. I think if I were that fed up with saban threads I wouldn't open anything with saban in the title and I surely wouldn't be posting in them. JMO
