I agree with SabanFan's assessment. I'm not worried about our D. They are among the best in the country, if not the best. I'm a little concerned about the O. Depth in the O line, other than Early, not a lot of experience at WR. Everything I've read to date suggest running backs by committee, no one really standing out. Thank goodness most of our tough games are in Death Valley. If we get by Virginia Tech we should be in good shape going into the Florida game.
Those starters went 7-6(I think) and got blown out 44-27 in their bowl game. I just don't think they deserve such a high rating
The number doesn't really matter now. We are highly thought of and fortunately control our own destiny. This is of course barring the miracle of Notre Dame going undefeated, which by some NCAA rule would automatically flop them over us.
Where's Notre Dame? With their history, NFL coach and sports writers who love them shouldn't they be ranked? What's going on up there in South Bend?
My buddy down in B.R.,who I went to the '03 N.C. game with, who has already bought tickets to this year's N.C. game, who helped Dr. Baker and Dr. Pirie pick out Mike VI, who is one of the luckiest sob's I've ever met (he is Irish),anyway, his birthday is on this year's N.C. game. The luck stars are coming into alignment (and the #2 AP poll ranking doesn't hurt).:geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Well, guys, we officially control our own destiny. I also don't know if the #2 is deserved or not, but we're positioned safely to not get screwed like Auburn. It's better to be on the inside, rather than the outside looking in.
