1. He only played in one major from 2006-07.

But he nearly won the US Open in 2005.

When he qualifies for the field, he plays well, because his game suits a major style.
  2. Well. I was wrong. The Shark is the 36-hole leader.

Here's to hoping he gets a 6-7 shot lead tomm and then blows it on Sunday for old times sake.
  3. I take it you aren't a member of the Greg Norman fan club?

Equally amazing is the play of David Duval.
  4. I dont think that is equal, it is beyond absurd. Though people always say he lights it up in practice rounds - it must be in his head.

I cant wait to watch the Golf Channel tonight. They bashed Choi before it started and he now leads it after carding a 67.
  5. I have nothing against him... I just was always a Faldo fan, so I appreciated the collapse.
  6. I can see someone at +7 or +8 shooting 66 tomm morning and shooting into the Top 5.
  7. I don't think there is supposed to be any impovement in the weather for the weekend, so I don't think you are going to see an early starter make a big run up the leaderboard.

And TB3, I like KJ's chances. I think he's mentally tough enough to stand up to the pressure and plays the tough courses very well. Unforutunately for Greg & Chrissy I think reality catches up with the Shark and he falls out of contention.
  8. I do too. He doesnt seem to get rattled that much and really the only thing separating his game this year from his great season last year is the driver.

Here is a video on Choi from PGATour.com
  9. I would love to see Norman win for the nostalgia of it, kind of a "Nicklaus at the '86 Masters feel." But I think I'll be pulling for Rocco. Anybody who might get the media away from the "all-Tiger, all the time" mentality would be good for golf in general.
  10. Well this tourney has a lot going for it with Norman, Mediate and Duval being big stories. With Tiger out, I am definitely interested in the outcome now that these 3 are in the mix. Add in Furyk for us American faithful, and it adds that much more intrigue.
