1. Hope I'm spelling that right....I'll be dining at Ruffino's in BR for the first time tomorrow night. Intend to be a good Catholic and not eat meat as it is Friday, but that is sometimes difficult for me, because shellfish sometimes gives me gout. Anyone have a recommendation from their menu?
  2. Under the circumstances, even if they're "iffy", eat whatever you want - including meat.

Be a good Catholic by spending the rest of the day by developing your faith in other ways such as:

    - praying more
    - learning something about Catholicism by reading something in the catechism like the section on salvation.
    - reading Scripture. Start with the daily readings.
    - going to confession after a real, true examination of conscience
    - renewing your participation in the New Covenant by going to mass and participating in the Eucharist.
    - fasting or denying yourself in some other way during the rest of the day.

These ways of developing your faith are much more important than menu choices.
  3. crabmeat cheesecake.

    and a steak.
  4. BBQ Shrimp or Rib Eye.
  5. Crabmeat cheesecake is a must. I only get to Ruffino's once a year or so, but this is an absolute must.

I've heard their steaks are good, but I haven't tried one. Go ahead, good Catholic, live a little.
  6. As close as I live to it and as much as I love Italian food, I am kind of ashamed to admit that I have never been. I heard it's a little on the expensive side.
  7. It's a little expensive, more of a special occasion sort of place. Probably good for a date.
  8. My parents' 50th. My older brother's treat - he has "a huge gift certificate."
(not every man can say that )
  9. Love that place. Staple for me when I am in town. When I lived there went once a week (Close to where I lived)
  10. I don't go very often. It's a long drive out there for Italian with Gino's, Digiullo's, and Pinetta's just a few blocks away.
