  2. So the coach was timing the Ole Miss pitcher's delivery to the plate with a stopwatch, and used that to decide when to steal bases? Did I understand that story correctly? If so, I'm surprised that's not against the rules.
  3. Most people will say 1.5 seconds is the magic delivery time for stealing bases.
  4. Why would it be against the rules?


    Anything over 1.3-1.35 seconds is "in the zone" for the faster players (Grovatt, Parker, Cannon, Procia, and especially Gosselin) to steal. Just about everyone in the UVa lineup gets the green light at 1.5. I'd be surprised if less than 3 singles turn into doubles tomorrow. LSU better also watch out for the double-steal with runners at the corners.
