  4. I've had some great meals in my line of work, and food evokes such powerful memories for me. But I think I would have to go with my mom's hearty bean casserole, a Guinness, and a glass of '45 MacCallan. Simple pleasures are sometimes the most powerful.

  5. I'd have Joel Robuchon cook me whatever he felt like cooking. A tasting menu of course. If I couldn't get in touch with him, I would go to his restaurant at Atelier at the MGM.
  6. Pickles and Chips.
  7. I often tell my waiter to surprise me. I have tried a lot of food that I otherwise would not have tried. The other night, we had a private party at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas for my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary. I told the guy to surprise me. I wouldn't have ordered Foie Gras on my own, but he brought it and it was quite good. I figured there was no way anything they served there would be bad.

For you DFW folks, if you have never eaten there, it should be on your short list.

    Bottle of Barq's rootbeer
  9. Crooked beak huh? How about with a side of Gros Bec gumbo? (I heard its good, me, I've never had any! :hihi: )

Wow, what a thread. We have some discriminating tastes here. It would have to be all the boiled crawfish I can eat !
  10. I've never gone to the Mansion. Besides the foie gras (which I would never order--lol), what else did you have?
