Ya, they gave away vouchers for tickets at the area schools I believe. We got some in Brusly. I didnt make it out there, I'm glad now b/c I would have never got in. From what I hear, the coordinator of the event thought that it was super bowl Sunday and they were just hoping to get a crowd in there. Well, they got it. I bet there was only about 5,000 plus who paid. It's a loss in money but who cares. It's great that those girls get to play in front of a packed house. I honestly believe that the men should have a pack the pmac or something like that.

If in fact your "ticket giveaway" is correct, then it can't be a money loser...If even one of those tickets that was given away resulted in a coke or popcorn purchase, it's a positive... Those tickets wouldn't have been used otherwise...according to you at least...

I think its awesome that they get to play in that atmosphere. I'm sure if they were playin without this promotion, they'd get the normal 5,000 plus. This was in no way an insult. Scrappy, you don't know what I'm talking about... You said that it was a money loser... If they get ONE person in there with that ticket giveaway, then they have a customer who wouldn't be there ordinarily. Since we know they got way more than just one customer like that, we have to assume that at least a small percentage of those non-traiditional customers will purchase concessions, souvenirs, programs, etc. This means-if they weren't going to come otherwise-that's $ in the pocket of LSU due to the ticket giveaway...It's a profitable venture, not a money loser. That's what I'm asking you to shut your yap about... Your knowledge regarding Sports Marketing and the business side of it is lacking.
