1. That is the record of the Basketball team. Only 7,000 fans were in attendance on Saturday. Come on fans and support all LSU sports.
  2. LSU fans proved they can and will support basketball when they have a reason to do so.

From 1979 to 1995 (17 years), our average paid attendance was 12,336. This year, it's 8800.

There must be something keeping these fans away...
  3. Is it that high this year? Could have fooled me.
  4. That's paid attendance for this year ... actual is 5,986.

I use paid b/c the historical numbers quoted paid attendance.
  5. What's the difference between paid and actual attendance? Are you telling me that over 2,000 people are paying for tickets that they aren't using?
  6. Look at all the empty seats in the lower sections, the season ticket holders don't come to games.
  7. Yep, over 2,800 no shows per game!

It's mostly season ticketholders who don't show up ... they aren't happy, but unwilling to give up their good seats.
  8. I just can't see wasting that much money. If I were paying for tickets for all the games, I would be at all the ones I could.
  9. I had basketball season tix a few years back, and once I got them, I discovered how difficult it was to make every game. I
ended up giving a lot of them away to co-workers. Things come up, you can't always go.
  10. Many of themn are owned by companies also.
