1. Last night, the SECN aired the final game of the 1996 CWS between Miami & LSU. Miami jumped out to an early lead, but the Tigers pecked away and trailed 8 - 7 heading to the bottom of the 9th inning. Miami got two outs, but the Tigers got a runner on base and it brought Warren Morris to the plate. He worked the count to 3 - 2 and on the payoff pitch hit the shot to right field heard around the world. TIGERS WIN!!! TIGERS WIN!!!
It goes down as one of the greatest moments in Tiger athletic history in my opinion.
    Your thoughts?
  2. I agree. I went from pissed off (thinking we might lose) to extreme jubilation. I can still hear the call in my head. Right up there with bluegrass and earthquake games.

  3. Warren Morris was on Hanging with Hester today. He said he walked back to the team's hotel in full uniform.

  4. I didn't realize Morris had a decent MLB career until I did a little reading on him.
  5. He played for the Pirates. They're never on TV.

  6. I agree. To me that was the greatest moment in LSU sports!
  7. Yes, for one play and one shining moment it's unequaled.

Also unequaled is the 2019 football season and the complete domination of the college football world.
