I just heard that LSU is talking to Clemson and Oregon State for the open date next season. Came from Dandy Don.

    Is this old news?

I hadn't heard anything. Only that the Washington State rumors were false. Clemson for the REAL Death Valley? Where would the game be?

Man that would be great....Both of the teams are heading in the right direction...

LSU will schedule a home game especially since we are playing only 3 non-conference games this year.

Clemson would be nice but would be an awful tough test right off the bat.

Oregon State was very inconsistent this year. Hard to tell which team would show up week to week.

Clemson finished strong this year. That would be tough first game.

I saw OSU play USC and they looked very 1 dimensional. Not to mention that they lose their star RB.

Yeah....they destroyed New Mexico in their bowl game...
(I know its New Mexico but they beat them by like 45) So whoever it is It'll be a tough test for a opener a lot better than playing ULM!

What is Clemson's preseason ranking? It must be top 10 or close to it.

If that is the case, I do not think it would be wise for us to schedule them. Games 3, 4 and 5 are already ultra tough. I say schedule someone like an Oregon State instead.

Clemson would be a tough game to start the season off with but I like the idea of playing a good OOC game.

Me too....our SOS isnt very strong this upcoming year either. As long as we get a team who has a good chance at a winning record....Thats fine with me.

I think Oregon State fits that bill perfectly and would be much easier to beat than Clemson.
