I highly doubt Garrett was told that he was the only QB LSU was interested in, considering there were a handful of highly regarded QBs at the camp with him!
I don't follow your reasoning...I replied in response to this comment: I have not seen any report where Garrett said he was told he was the only QB, but if that information is found somewhere I say it's highly unlikely the coaches told him this. That is what my comment was directed at.
Unless that comment means the MSU staff told him he was the only QB they were going after...I read the comment to mean LSU supposedly told him that. If it was MSU, then move along...nothing to see here.
It was a poorly worded post. The Rivals article said that, initially, MSU told Garrett he was their guy and they wouldn't be looking for another QB. It's a quote from Garrett himself. Could be that he misunderstood them.
