He's a good one. He currently holds offers from USC, Florida, Ole Miss, Nebraska, North Carolina, and Notre Dame. I haven't seen anything to indicate that LSU has shown him any interest.

I haven't watched any film on Opoku to know about his athleticism or route running, but with a 40 of 4.67, and at 212lbs already, I'm thinking he may be converted to TE in college.

I know its early to be talking about star ranking but everyone seems to think that Louisiana is loaded & we can get 3-4 Five star players from within state... I don't think there are that many 5 star players in the state of Louisiana & getting them from other states is very hard.. CParso may be right- I think our star rating when it is all added up will be higher than this past year but not much..

How many 5 stars are in LA right now?

I expect the number of 5 stars to increase after they do some more evaluating. It is still early in the process.

Reuben Randle and Chris Davenport. It's bull**** Mike Ford isnt' a 5* guy but he will be after a fully healthy senior year. That's 3 5* guys in-state.

Anybody have word on how Russell Shepard's visit at Texas went? Heard he didnt comm but Texas did pick up another commitment Marcus Davis a DB that we were looking at also. Gives them 4 for 2009 already.

UF has an entrenched starter for 2 year if Tebow doesn't go pro and just signed another 5*QB and a high 4* in the same class. I don't understand the Florida part of it.

Texas probably has the best QBs for 2009 and probably the best in one state for a long time. Shavodrick Beaver, Cody Green and Russell Shepard three QBs we are recruiting in the Lone Star Top 10.
