    The 68 Sugar Bowl game was played on a very wet and muddy field. By the second half, all of the players were covered in mud and then Charlie Mac substituted anlmost an entirely new team, all in clean unforms. Up until that point, Wyoming's first team was beating us up, but that was the turning point of the game. It was very dramatic to view and must been demoralizing to the Wyoming team as they looked across the line of scrimmge and saw a new fresh team facing them... Great Game!

    Don't know about the others, but Ole Miss beat Va. Tech 34-17 in the '68 Liberty bowl after falling behind 17-0 in the first half. Archie was a soph.:)

    Interesting Mike, thanks for the input. I actually know Barton Frye. He lives in St. Francisville and is a dentist at Angola (Louisiana State Penitentiary). His wife is a guidance counselor in Baton Rouge. Good folks but I bet he can't run that fast anymore.

    IIRC, Wyoming has one of the better head coaching prospects out there.
