1. theyll be great.

it has been a while though since lsu hasnt had 8 DL to rotate.
  2. Neither would the 1985 Chicago Bears.
  3. While the 12 lsu d was great, I still have to think the 85 bears were slightly better.
    Attack Tiger likes this.
  4. And as slightly better as they were, they would not have held up under an offense that ran 100 plays on them.
  5. if they were better than a D that just held up for 100 plays one week ago, then they would also hold up. got it?
  6. Maybe Miles will start leaning on the veteran offense to take some pressure off the D. That is not going to be the top-10 D we usually see(though certainly not bad). Time for the stars to shine on O.

  7. Returning Players:

LSU returns 24 players from that side of the ball having Defensive Stats this year.
11 players played in all 13 games.
  8. Mills, Collins, Eugene, Thompson, Martin, Barrow, Alexander, T Jones, D Jones, Freak, Ego, Rasco all either started or saw significant playing time. Tahj a year ago. I don't know about you guys but I'm excited to see all this new blood on Defense.
  9. I don't see an experience issue so much as a talent and raw skills issue. For instance, I don't doubt that Rasco's had enough playing time to become a starter, but I don't think he's as fast, instinctive, or strong as Mingo or Montgomery. I could be(and hope I am) wrong.

Players I am excited to see play more: Freak and Mills. I think Mills is the next shut down guy, and Freak is going to emerge as an excellent DT in the next two years.
  10. If they "held up" we wouldn't have lost the game at the end.

Not that I am blaming them. I am just pointing out that "held up" doesn't involve losing on a game winning drive.
