1. #2 RB in the country behind Najee Harris as voted by multiple sources. Hails from Clinton, MS. Plays QB but is being recruited as a HB. Has decent size for a RB in high school. Some of the stuff I've been reading has said that he's down to about 4-5 schools and will be making his decision by early January. Ole Miss, LSU, Ohio State, and FSU are in the mix, and I think Georgia is too. One of the guys at NOLA.com seems to think it's between Ole Miss and LSU, with LSU being in the lead, but he cites no sources.

Would be a great get to keep the talent in the backfield after Guice leaves, but I don't have a pulse on where this guy has LSU.
  2. I hope he is right, however, he is yet to visit LSU officially.
  3. A lot of kids have yet to make official visits because they were waiting for a HC to be named. I think Akers pushed his commitment date back to the all star game in January.

  4. All I can say is I hope like hell we get this young man. He had an incredible game in the state championship game, ran for 5 TD's and threw for 2 more.

  5. Akers would be a nice follow up to the Fournette-Guice era and he seems to fit that mold. Watched his highlights and the guy is a strong runner but very fast also. Looks like he has the cutting ability of Guice. Hope we get him!
