That’s correct. Another contributing factor to the building of Alabama’s current dynasty is the demise of Florida. Florida’s dynasty run from 2006-2009, the Tebow/Meyer years. Florida’s program collapsed in 2010 and hasn’t been relevant sense. LSU’s dynasty was from 2003-2007, and yes, it was built on the demise of the Alabama program. LSU went 5-0 during that time where Bama was irrelevant in the national title picture.
Yes, I love playing Florida every year. And just remember, THEY HAVE TO PLAY US every year too. And the SECW does rotate the E teams.
Other than the permanent opponents teams only play the rotating opponent once every 8 years. We hosted Missouri in 2016 and don't make the return trip until 2024. If you were 20 years old when we played them you will be 36 by the time they visit Baton Rouge again.
