You know what not everyone lives their life thinking that money is the only thing in life worthwhile. Loyalty to me is not about this being a business. I dont ever want to be on a battlefield with you i can tell you that. When times are tough you would cut me loose. I remember Charlie Mac as our coach and he did earn our loyalty. But LSU fans called for his firing many times. And that is one thing that is wrong with this country now. No one is loyal when times are tough. Companies are not loyal and people are not loyal. Ill tell you what you people go on living your life without loyalty and you will never know what it is like to do something for someone else in their time of need that gives them hope. And i am not talking about a damn football game here. Yes Les Miles gets paid money to produce at LSU . So did Nick Saban but i can tell you this. It is Sean O keefe and Skip Bertmans job to decide on the business side of this . It is my job as a fan to give this Team my support and root like hell for them. It is what i call being loyal to my Team, My Coach, and every person who gives everything they have to try and win and represent our State. Maybe i place more value on being loyal than you do and having grown up with a high school football coach the criticism of Coach Miles at the level this week has brought back some memories of a time when a loss was a reason for people to bash the Guy who is out there working his butt off to try and win. And when it is a member of your family it tends to hurt. Les Miles is a member of the LSU family. You do what you want but i am chosing to be loyal to him.
I tell you what am I sick of is these jerks who think we should all be sensitive and caring. THis is LSU football we are talking about. The only thing we need to be loyal to is Lsu football. If the coach sucks than we can bitch about it.can't we. I don't have to give him time when he dosn't go for the win with 2 minutes left in game. I don't have to give him time when he blows a 21 point lead at home against a average QB. Anybody could see that the defense was out of position the whole second half. So do I wait until we become an average program again with great players that has poor coaching before I am allowed to complain. Can I bitch then when I sitting in the stands at the Independence bowl. WHEN CAN I BITCH.

I am not saying that there are not things i am concerned about. I am not saying that we dont need to improve. But you guys are ready to give on a Coach after two games. Hell i disagreed with Nick Saban decisions too but i wasnt willing to throw him under the bus. I want my right to bitch because i want to bitch because i feel like bitching. No because i will leave the hiring and firing to Skip and Sean O keefe. That is what they get paid to do. My title = Fan Loyal to LSU and who ever the Coaches and players are at the time. But then again you guys do what you want. I guess i will do my best to look for the good in life and try to keep things in the proper perspective. I have a wife and family that loves me. I am in reasonably good health. I believe in God. And i have LSU sports to cheer for. All in all i would say i am blessed. Call me a loser, blindly loyal, optimist. I can take it.
My opinion is that some folks are jumping the gun on this. Yes, you have every right to bitch, but I think it's more prudent to reserve judgement until the Florida game. We're two games behind the rest of the country and Miles is a frosh SEC coach. I KNOW that he's made some cruddy calls and such but this is the big time and he's learning too. Even Nick didn't win the MNC his first year. And save the "team talent" as a defense for Nick please :dis: I promise you I will be leading the charge if we haven't improved through the Moo U and Vandy games, but c'mon...the man and staff has been dealt a pretty crappy hand with the 'canes, etc. at least cut him a couple of games slack to start getting in a groove. And for your business types, supposed you had a sales job that had a learning curve and you fired every salesperson after a couple of weeks of learing the ropes. FT in stating that this is a business deal then you also have to acknowledge that in his "business deal" CLM signed a contract that stipulated he was to coach LSU football for a period of time. I understand that you're only as good as your last game and all that but (and it's a big but) HE HAS A CONTRACT. Aren't you glad? If all coaches were paid by the game then SABAN WOULDN"T HAVE BEEN HERE LONG ENOUGH TO EARN HIS MNC. Nor would Fulmer have been at UT long enough to outcoach CLM, etc., etc., etc....with all due respect, it seems that you are the emotional one, based on your observation that after a TOTAL OF 2 GAMES you have determined CLM is UNFIT and not worthy to be coach anymore. I'll be the first to agree that there are SERIOUS issues that MUST be corrected, and based on his coaching background let's hope he does. 2 games is not enough time to determine GOOD OR BAD how CLM will do here at LSU. I think what Calco is saying (or at least my interpretation) is that Les Miles is our coach. As long as he is our coach then we should support him. Certainly we as fans can argue, bitch, gripe and complain but as long as he is coach then lets give him the proper due. It's hard for me to believe in looking at all of these posts that Phatimus got this hard of a time from LSU fans.
