I don't mean "X" and "O" type of learning...I'm talking SEC pressure cooker atmosphere learning. There has NEVER been a coach that has had to deal with what CLM has had to deal with through his first three game schedule. Hey look...I'm not argueing that I have been impressed with what I've seen, but I think we need to give the man a bit of time to get into the flow. Two games against top 15 opponents, a disrupted game and practice schedule, two hurricane disruptions, people sleeping on these kids' floors, etc. and some are wanting to cut off CLM's balls after TWO games..... :dis: Even if he gets canned, who in their right mind would want to come here with such impatient fan BS. I'm glad Skip isn't so knee-jerk....Admins have to give their staff an opportunity to succeed. Give CLM his opportunity....we'll know more when things get more "normal". Like I said, I want to see improvement too. If Fla. gets here and I haven't, well....let's just say I'll be down on the coast (what's left of it) chasing specks and reds a lot more than I thought this year. :yelwink2:
You dont know anything about me USM. I was not in the military but it doesnt mean i dont have honor and integrity. My soapbox will be the same size it is now. Words like Honor, Loyalty, Trust, Integrity mean alot to me. I was raised by people that taught me to value those ideals because they go to the heart of what it takes to be a good person. I make mistakes and i am not perfect but my word is all i have as a man. If i give you my word or promise it is something i value very much and take very serious. If we go 3-8 then i will leave it up to Skip and Sean to determine what is best. You can be disloyal whenever you feel like it. I for one believe in this Coach and this team. If they are 3-8 i will still believe in them. Because life isnt just about football. I really am not a holyier than though person but i think it is important to stick by people when times are tough.
I don't mind the posters who are bashing the coaches. I am just laughing at those who are packing it in and acting as if the entire season is lost. We have a very talented team with big home games against AU and UF....and we also go to Alabama who can be beat. But, apparently....we don't have any shot whatsoever of beating them. Give me a break. Our D sucks right now, our QB showed some inconsistency, and many other problems are afloat....but we can still win these games.

Fighting Tiger that statement was in response to USM calling in to question whether i will feel the same way at the end of the season and whether i have the honor of my convictions. You can be the biggest scum bucket on the face of the earth and win football games. Phat Phil is an example of that.
Well, I appreciate the fact that you are loyal no matter what happens, and that is very idealistic of you. I don't feel that criticism and concern is being disloyal, though. Regardless of who is coach, I will yell myself hoarse for our players. I will attend as many games as humanly possible. I will still buy cheesy LSU gear for my dogs. Here's to success for Les Miles. I hope he can settle into this challenge and excel. I hope Pelini realizes that the soft zone doesn't fly in the SEC. I hope we murder the rest of our competitors and go to the SECCG, or at least have a winning season. But if not, then I just want what is best for the University, for the fans, and for the LSU players. A mediocre coach is not what is best for any of them. That's not disloyal, that's the nature of competition.
