you got your answer just watch the slow pivot to the general as I have already stated (see thread), this is all calculated....as much as people want to say everything appears off the cuff for Trump, he is being coached and molded (to a fair extent) to win the Presidency....this campaign isn't getting this far only to throw it all away This may be the very last debate we'll see if Trump wins everything on March 15. In fact, it will be. While the RNC lists one on March 21 in Salt Lake City, that may not occur. All Trump has to say is no, and it's done.
Trump just beat Cruz. Cruz says don't be mean to China or America will suffer. Trump says F China, if they don't work with us we'll make our own shit. Globalization moves profits and jobs abroad. If profits and jobs are localized, our economy benefits (because the rest of the world is a black hole).
