I will take my lumps and admit that it was a good gameplan to use against Ark. and I give Chavis the credit for sticking with it and mixing it up the whole game. good job Chavis.

Not a big deal...but I hated the 3 man front...everytime we brought the house we rushed Malllet into throwing it high. I was yelling BRING IT the whole damn game!! Guess it's just more of the bend but dont break mentality which is very difficult to watch!!

I agree. Any good quarterback is going to pick a weak rush apart. I hate what this LSU defense has become. Soft and weak.

I wouldn't exactly call us soft and weak, but I prefer the pressure defense. When we gave Mallet time with the 3 man rush, or for my memory any good passer, they can pick you apart. Given the choice, I'd pick bringing the pressure.

not wanting to nit pick but the tigers were actually getting pressure with the 3 man rush. A lot of the times the tigers got burned were on blitz plays. Ark took the lead in the 4th on a blitz play. I am not saying play 3 down lineman every game but tonight it was very a smart gameplan. Chavis showed pressure in the beginning and played coverage the rest of the game.

Those who are calling for LSU to blitz every down seemingly missed the checkdowns to draw plays that gashed us for big yards once we started doing that too much.
