1. - I think Rahim Alem is our only speed rusher at defensive end. He has the outside speed rush down and can be a difference maker. Rest of our DE seem to bull rush more than outquick them.

    - Trindon is a playmaker but how do we trust him at punt returner. That is too risky a position to have someone who doesnt make the catch consistently. It can be a disaster to give away fumbles due to dropped punts. Need to get his hands on it on some short easy catch routes.

    - Lee looked like he developed a pocket presence by the end of the game and man did he stand in there on that long pass to chris mitchell. You cant teach that .

    - Charles Scott has definately shown to be a level above our other RB's. He is a tackle breaking machine and come late in games when our oline has worn down the opponent he will be unstoppable.

    - Richard Murphy has to learn to stick it up the field and get what you can get. You cant dance on the defenses in the SEC. Once you get your crease then turn on the jets and make a move . Like the out of the backfield passes to him better.

    - With Les Miles as our Coach our team seems to love playing the game. It is a confidence and they play hard on every play. It is said teams take on the personality of their coach. Well that is Les Miles. Determined, coming at you every play, fire in his belly, Hair on fire, Your gonna have to whip me cause i aint leaving till you do. A will to win and will pay the price to do so.

    - Cutrera played a good game but i would feel better having Beckwith back in there to run things. Riley and Sheppard played well too. So far no one has been able to run on us.

    - With these spread offenses man it is imperative you have a good secondary. I think our secondary is getting better each week. Cant help when a qb has too much time where a receiver gets lost. That happens.

    - This team doesnt seem to get as many stupid penalties . That is a good sign. And i have to say the officials at Auburn didnt do a bad job. They let the players decide the game.

  2. Maybe the letter I sent Slive 2 years ago did some good.

  3. I did remember a point in the beginning of the game where the refs hadnt thrown a flag when they could have. They let them play. It was very welcoming.
  4. I slightly disagree on 3 points...1)Murphy knows how to hit the hole, unfortunately he jus tried to make more out of the play than it was and he didnt! But it was only one play and it sticks out because he didnt get a lot of chances to run the ball. Dont judge him on that play alone

    2) Scott has proven himself.....But he HAS had more opportunity to do so and that is perfectly fine because he is doing GREAT... Its jus hard to say whose on another level until they all get an equal chance. we are doing the right thing by sticking with Scott because we are riding the horse that got us here.

3)Give Holiday another chance. He is the best returner in College Football right now and when he runs them back, everyone is gonna say he belonged there all along. Last year it was Chad jones who obviously thought that a fair catch didnt exist. I say if Holiday does continue to screw up. Try Chris tolliver or Patrick Peterson out. They were both great returners in High School!!!

    Good assesment though.:crystal::champs::crystal::champs::crystal:
  5. I'm sure the running backs are given opportunities based upon what the coaches see in practice. Scott, no doubt, has earned his number of carries. Murphy and Williams will both make big plays for us this year, its just a matter of time. We need them to because Scott cannot carry the load himself for the entire season.
  6. Alem came in fresh in the 4th quarter against Ziemba who had played the whole game and was very, very tired. Alem blew by him. It would have been a very different thing if Alem had been head to head with Ziemba the whole game.

But they didn't call holding all night and Auburn was flagrantly holding on many plays.

  7. We were a victim of being flagrantly held last year with no calls.

I wonder, does Miles get a chance to voice concerns about things like this? Seems I read last year that the head coaches get a chance to voice their concerns to the officials before a game.
  8. That play was actually set up by Chad Jones. He faked a blitz and completely distracted Ziemba. So when the ball was snapped, Chad dropped back, but Ziemba's focus was still on him. It wasn't until The Pharaoh was blowing by him that Ziemba even thought about him.

It was quite beautifully orchestrated by the DCs.
