A first, today!

Listening to Dan Bongino today and he interviewed Ron Guidry. It was then that I realized I had never heard Ron speak. I've seen him pitch back in the day but honestly don't ever recall hearing him in a press conference before or after a game. I'm sure he would have had to have done at least one. I was blown away at how much of an accent he had.

Yes he did have the south Louisiana accent. But boy could he throw it.

 

Because Dan is friends with Moon who is friends with Ron. Basically it was a man crush thing

 

When i saw the SF Giants play the Yankees in Yankee stadium a few years ago i purchased a Ron Guidry Baseball card.

 

Somewhere, Taint's coonass sense is tingling.

 

Guidry is a legend and I love hearing his Louisiana accent. Unfortunately, if you don't live in Louisiana, you never hear that accent, so I enjoyed listening to his interview!
