I stayed home in (ARKY) this weekend and actually watched their game. The penalties did even out. ARKY's linebacker got away with an obvious hold on a receiver on the last bama possesion. As far the Britt incident, it looked bad to me on both sides. The replay showed Brit shoving the ARKY defender back with his leg which was pinned under a bama player after the play was basically over. The way he pushed him back with his leg pinned is the kind that can cause a knee to snap. Anyway, it looked as though the ARKY player was retaliating and jerked his helmet off on the way down. Either way it was incredibly stupid to hit him with his helmet. I would have waited until another play and then gone after Britts knee with a low cut.
All in all it was a very exciting second half. I really enjoyed listening to the bama fans boo saban for kicking the field goal on the next to last drive. It did work out, however. Also, how stupid is Houston Nutts play calling and their QB is really pathetic. He should have ran than ball on third down with 2:26 to play and bama out of TO's. Bama still may have scored but it would have left them with only about 1:40 or less to do it.
The ARKY fans up here are just beside themselves today that they blew the end of the game.
    Geaux Tigers!

That's a pretty accurate assessment. The offense has been shooting itself in the foot.

With both units, the intensity has been where it should be to start all three games. The difference in yesterday, it was the first game where it was needed at the end of the game. Last year, they would have folded right after the coach did.

If there is one thing we can agree on, this Wagers crew is one of the worst in the SEC. I remember them blowing a call the year before last, I think, with UT and UF. Big call there as well.

I've heard mixed opinions on that, all coming from different areas of the stadium. Most say they were saying "ooooohhh" wanting him to go for it. Who knows for sure?

On a different subject, I did feel for Brandon Cox getting and the boo birds...especially when he was put back in the game. I barely heard it, and could be mistaken. The vol. on the TV was too low to be sure.

If there were boo's, I'm sure they came from the same people who do the Ramma Jamma after games with teams like W. Carolina.

    They were yelling "go."

I also felt bad for Cox. Its not as if he wanted to hurt the team.

? Curious, because there have been a lot of opinions voiced in this thread about it, and you guys were on at the same time. I ask, because I'm curious if you saw the ejection of the Arkansas player after he threw Britt's helmet at his head after he had been pancacked so many times.[/quote]

Watched the last drive on TV as we were leaving the stadium, not enough to form an opinion on if Bama got special treatment from the refs, true, but the calls sure went there way at the end. Funny, when the refs stopped the clock and let Ole Miss get set here, Saban lost his mind cursing during the halftime interview, saying he didn't know where that sh** came from. I bet he's all right with the stoppage last night

I misspelled that, forgetting the "G." Thanks!

New laptop, I'm having a bit of difficulty getting used to. At least vista tells me when I'm misspelling a word...even on freakin' message forums.

I think that you could dig up some old threads from '05 when a whole lot of you guys predicted a blow out then. A lot of 45-0 scores and such...It didn't happen. 16-13 in OT. Far from that blowout that a lot of you predicted.

I'm not saying that Bama has more talent and will win the game...but you act like the Tigers are not capable of having a bad game, or that Bama isn't cabable of having a great game. Any given Saturday folks...

I've gone ahead and put my vacation in for that week....No way I am missing that one! Roll Tide!

Yeah, I mean, Bama has absolutely no play makers on offense besides JPW.

    :dis:

DJ Hall is one of the best wide receivers in the country.
