Hurst so good: offensive lineman built for SEC
Arlington standout says LSU, UT final choices

After surveying the field, Alex Hurst has a short list.
“I’ve got it narrowed down to two, LSU and Tennessee,” the News Sentinel’s eighth-best prospect in the state of Tennessee said.

The 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive lineman from Arlington High School in Shelby County said he’ll still keep an eye on Auburn and Florida, but, as of now, they haven’t shown enough interest to be considered serious suitors.

College coaches don’t have any trouble envisioning where Hurst will play after high school. The prototypical offensive tackle doesn’t know any other position, having only played tackle in high school, a role he’s quite comfortable with.

So, what exactly does Hurst like about the Tigers and the Vols?
“The academics, the coaching staff, they’re both SEC and they both have a lot of tradition,” Hurst said.
