You know this has me thinking. You know teams know who is not up to possibly 100% from a very serious injury. Do players try to take a cheap shot or hit them at the knee to take them out? Or do you think players have more respect for the sport than that and wouldn't take a cheap shot like that?
I think I would have to lean towards the former. You are tought in football to attack a team, or in this case, a player's weakness. You even see things like that when a player is 100%. 2001 SECCG - UT player drives helmet directly into Rohan's ribs. And, I may be opening up a can of worms with this, but everytime I see the highlight of Carson Palmer's injury in the playoffs, I wonder if the hit was intentional.
If I were a dlinmen or LB for USL, I think I'd be much more concerned with trying to tackle AB instead of trying to wack him on the knee like Tonya's boyfriend. Let those guys hesitate just a split second and Alley will pound them into the turf.
