Another Spring Practice Update

GREENER GRASS: Coach Les Miles grabbed a baseball glove right after practice and warmed up in the indoor practice facility for his first- pitch ceremony at Friday's baseball game between LSU and Cal-State Fullerton at Alex Box Stadium.

Miles didn't disappoint the crowd of 9,516. Before he threw, he reached down and plucked a blade of grass near the pitcher's mound and popped it in his mouth. Miles drew national attention in the fall when CBS cameras caught him doing the same thing during a victory against Alabama at Tiger Stadium.

After delivering his pitch -- a little outside -- he plucked another blade of grass on the way back to the dugout and handed it to baseball coach Paul Mainieri, who followed Miles' lead.
