1. Apple's iPad event: What we didn't get : Ben Patterson : Yahoo! Tech

I really dont get what this is supposed to be and how it sets itself apart from anything else, but design. Looks like a large iphone, but the wife wants one and I dont know why.

a review on some of the specs so far.

  2. I've been reading about this since the early rumor stages through the official unveiling. I suspect the I-Pad will be a flop for Apple. I dont see much use for this thing unless you are an ubber geek who just has to have the latest, newest, coolest toys.
  3. No USB or SD support built in. No way.
  4. it is supposed to be an e-reader. and it adds the internet and a larger touchscreen keyboard.
  5. 16 MB memory on the standard unit? WTF?

Then a huge adder for UP TO 64 MB for $400 more?????

    NFW Jobs.
  6. its an oversized, overpriced itouch with much less capability. no usb, no multitask and no flash.

not even 3g yet-- plus a 30 dollar a month fee and about 15 bucks per e-book.

    starting to smell like micro$oft.

get a netbook for 200 bucks.
  7. Prediction: They will sell Millions of units in the first year.
  8. its not a computer, its a book.
