I guess they don't figure to play each other in the Sugar Bowl. In 1996, FSU and Florida played each other in Tallahassee, where FSU won. (on grass) Then they matched up again in the NC game in NO and Florida ended up winning the game and the NC. (on artificial turf) Bama is 2-0-1 all-time against the Noles. I wonder if Bobby will still be coaching FSU... And in Jacksonville, no less. I guess FSU and Alabama want to have their own Cocktail Party.
Kudos to Bama's administration for locking down some nice OOC opponets. While they have had a home & home with Oklahoma, and have scheduled games with Penn St. & FSU in recent months, Radokovich & company nailed down a 10 year deal with Tulane.
The AD knows that to compete on the national scene, you have to go after some top notch teams and lay it all out on the field. Also let the Southern Miss contract expire. That was the only quality opponent from Miss that we had.
Or you could look at the positive side: We signed a deal to bring wealth to the state of Louisiana while returning LSU's only true rival to the schedule. NOT TO MENTION, that we just played Arizona & Arizona St, and are currently trying to work out a deal with Oklahoma.
