I wish the size was bigger, but it was awesome. And I'm convinced, we go to the CWS if we bust out the gold unis.
I miss the cockiness and business like approach of those teams. They went out knowing they were going to win every game they played and didn't have a coach telling them let's try to win atleast 2 of 3.
I love the gold unis. Wish they would bring them back. That is my second favorite moment of the game....it is a close second to Morris jumping up and down between 1st and 2nd.
The homer off of mark prior was brad hawpe because the other day he hit a ball and tagged prior in the elbow and then they showed him cranking one off prior in the cws. Great stuff.
The best part is how pissed Prior gets at Hawpe because he holds his arm up the whole way around the bases. I'm pretty sure you that you can read his lips.
I think they should play the video today on the big screen in the park right before the game. The fans would go wild!
it makes me realize how special those days were. and that we (fans) thought it was our tigers birthright to win the championship every few years. with our football team in the basement during the 1990's this gave us a reason to stick out our chest with pride and say give us your best shot b/c you are going down. i would kill for the days of creatine and those high powered alum bats. GORILLA BALL FOREVER!!!
I think the thing that made those LSU teams so good were that they knew they were going to win. Even if you got up 10-0 after 1 inning it didn't matter, because those teams knew they were gonna come back and score 11. They were great teams.
I thought I was the only one who REALLY liked those Gold uniforms with the "TIGERS" across the chest... I miss those uniforms... I think we have some of the ugliest uniforms in the SEC right now. I don't like the gray, I don't like the black, and I don't really like the "Tiger" or "LSU" insignia on any of our uniforms right now. Though, I really liked the ones we wore in the SEC tourney.
