rumor has it he was nonplussed about thomas getting infinite shots when manning was struggling to get minutes. LSU had players that are one dimensional. few two way players. gaines and leblanc are pure defense, watford and thomas are pure offense and shit defense. manning was a good two way player and would have been a huge help. every team has players leave and get hurt and not work out. it hurt LSU that penn-johnson was a a zero with hands made of granite, shareef broke his foot before he could get in rhythm. and the lack of useful depth i think was the issue. they just ran out of gas and couldnt make late shots. legs are tired, shots fall short. if manning had played 15 minutes and shareef 10 and penn johnson 4 it would have made a big difference. but roster management is very very hard. prediction: bradley ezewiro never makes it to campus and a transfer comes in that is a charles manning type, a two way player. next year 1. gaines/cook 2. brandon murray/seneca knight 3. hyatt/alex fudge, some unknown transfer 4 days/o'neal/wilkinson 5. colbert/gray/leblanc
i just found this article on the same topic i was just speaking about https://247sports.com/LongFormArtic...021-2022-Roster-Season-162948520/#162948520_2
penn-johnson the biggest if of them all..... agree with your assessments. if not for covid it would have been 3 straight nc2a appearances for wade. keep recruiting at a high level and keep up the intensity... all of a sudden the sec west is becoming a gauntlet. good times
had it not been for covid, it would be back to back to back nc2a appearances for wade. hasn't happened since daddy dale.... what's your point?
