Refs letting Mizzou foul us on layups. 40-up, we sat on our thumbs the last six minutes. Chose not to defend the 3. Next half our bench will not be on the offensive end of the court, seems like that’s led to a slump. Need to win this one, damn it. EDIT: I guess we don’t swap sides of court. Oh well, need to play closer attention.
I didn't watch all of the game so I checked the box score. Mizzou had 24 fouls called against them. We had 23.
We got some make up calls but with about 2:00 left they called a very shaky flagrant foul. Very unhappy with the refs.
Most impressed how clutch we were to close the game. Make a run in the SECT; WW wants to win it. This was a huge win.
i really wish wilkinson had made that corner 3 instead of airballing it. LSU's bread and butter is driving to the hoop, and mwani needs to be able to pull his defender out with him to open it up. but they dont follow him, they actively dare him shoot the open 3 and his defender helps down low while mwani is way outside. hyatt on the other hand can has made that shot so he helps the big three drive to the hoop in more open space as hyatt pulls his defender out. wilkinson has a slow tim tebow release. the technical and the intentional foul call were stupid. but this stuff tends to even itself out as some of the calls cam gets are insane.
A little off topic. Duke has gone from the penthouse to the outhouse. They scored 26 points in the first half and trail North Carolina by 16.
