Anyone know about this? Something about a recruit had a wire on and FBI has will Wade offering money to a recruit. Is this fake news?

His first hearing isn't until after the season is over. Which means we'll win a championship and have to vacate it a month later...

The most disgusting part of this whole thing is that kids from Baton Rouge have to be paid to play at LSU.

An offer that was not taken was being lamented. It can't be that kid.
Remember that the guys who got caught had financial proof, none here or he would have been indicted.
Not sure it's fake news so much as it is just a guy on a phone call.
Now LSU may be unhappy as is their right. But it's a little early to get morose.

Very general terms used. Will be easy to lie out of it, if it even was something shady they were discussing. From the quotes from the wiretap , in that article, nothing solid and could actually be all legit conversation.

Lol. It's dirty. Who knows what the NCAA will do if anything, but everyone else involved has already settled and there is more still that hasn't been released re:Wade. I don't see any way to "lie" out of it. And it isn't "just a guy" on a phone call. It's your head coach talking to a known middleman about a recruit.

"Wade theorized he hadn’t given the third party a big “enough piece of the pie in the deal” and instead “tilted” the offer toward the player and his mother."

We're talking Smollett-obvious what was going on there. At this point, better hope the NCAA pushes for admission, regret, and minimal penalty.

Even if this is true there is no way other coaches aren’t doing it.

Wonder if we’ll get smacked like USC. If this doesn’t go away basketball may never recover. If anybody can get out of it, it’s Wade; curious how this plays out.
