I dont think it's mine or anyones right to say whether his choice was right or wrong. But, I THINK that it was a bad choice. With the potential age limit and all the underclassmen this year, it appears to be a bad choice. Now, having said that I will still wish him the very best. He supplied us with some good memories. Who could forget the shot against UK in the SEC tourney. It hung on the rim for 10 mins before dropping. He was def a great guy. So if he gets drafted in round 1, it couldnt happen for a better guy LSU wise. He's top notch. Go get em BB. You'll be missed by the LSU community.

yep surprised because it looks like a stupid decision. but we'll see.

yes he would have gotten better this year. his ball handling sux. his intensity is still inconsistent. shot still needs work. still gets flustered under pressure, too.

I still can't believe he didn't want to stay and learn from the master, John Brady, for 2 more years. Oh well, I'm sure he'll coach up the talent for us.

losing Neltner is big because you can rarely replace experience with talent. neltner was a tough match up, too. and a gamer.

I'm very disheartened to hear this :bncry:

But he always seemed like a really great guy, and he did the Tigers well. I wish him the best of luck in the NBA.

Good Luck to Brandon Bass, I wish him well.
For those that think this is a huge blow, well this is what happens when you have no
depth because you either run players off or you don't seem to have the insight to
recruit because your star players could leave early.

One player should never make or break a college basketball team.

You should go look at the recruiting class coming in before making those dumb comments. Bringing in two front court players ranked 18th and 20th in the nation, sure sounds like a good job recruitng incase your star player leaves to me.

    Dumb??
I don't care how good they are.
They have 0 SEC or college experience.
All I was saying is that it would've helped to have Neltner and a few guys with SEC
experience without having to rely on 1 player to carry you through.

I'm not preaching gloom and doom but its not like LSU couldn't be in better shape either if you had someone "stable" or with some "smarts" running the show.

Well we still have Big Baby and D. Mitch so all is not lost.

    I didn't say it was.
Some of us just think he should recruit or give scholarships to a little better
calibur player than a few that were given and have never or very rarely ever
    played in a single game.
