There is no proven way to attract bats- so I read.

You'd be surprised how many are hiding and living close by. Examine poles in your yard, or telephone poles, elec. lines poles by the road.

"How do we attract mosquito eating bats to your yard?
Keep in mind that plants with flowers may help attract moths, and plants with pale colored flowers also have a good chance of catching the eye of nocturnal insects. To attract bats to roost in your yard, you'll need a place for them to call home: a bat house."

What is the effect on animals with that stuff? I don't want to hurt my pups

Bats are perfectly safe to have around and are a sign of a healthy ecosphere. Contrary to popular myths, bats don't "attack" and they actually have a lower incidence of rabis than most other mamals.

They're good to have around and your dogs will be fine.

@shane0911 ... place your bat houses with a south or east exposure as high up as you can manage.

When we lived in GA, we put up a couple on power poles on our property as high up as I could get them with a 16 foot extension ladder.
Our neighbors here attached them to a big tree about 25 feet off of the ground.
Your chances are having bats adopt them are inversely related to the likelihood that humans can mess with them.

It is quite safe for the dogs and humans.

Pretty sure it can kill cats but used in flea collars for dogs. Not as strong as the 30+ percent though.

Probably safe for mosquitoes too considering that there are still lots of them around after those trucks spray the neighborhood.
