Exactly, I find it a bit hypocritical of Baylor to be crying like a dumped teenager when it had to have former Gov. Anne Richards get them into the Big 12. Didn't have any problems leaving TCU, SMU, Houston and Rice in the dust.
Baylor is just trying to keep the conference together, they don't give a sh*t about a&m. If the conference dissolves, and Texas and Oklahoma both go west, where does that leave Baylor? Texas and Oklahoma anchor that conference, and without them there IS no big12. This is just a desperate ploy by a university that doesn't want to see their revenue dollars drop. I'd think conference USA for Baylor.
i ran that one by greenie and he gagged. no one wants baylor and baylor knows it. buncha holy roller hypocrites.
Tell him there are numerous reports circulating that Baylor will replace Tulane in CUSA. See how long it takes him to search the internet.
I look at it like this. I understand these schools wanting to keep their conference together, but if one of your members wants to leave, has publicly said so many times, you might as well let them leave on good terms and replace them, because it's going to happen sooner or later anyway. The problem with the TV dollars not being distributed evenly has caused a sh*tstorm that won't be easily undone. Baylor knows this. So does the rest of the big12 schools. This is why Oklahoma is weighing their options. Even if that conference stays together, eventually everyone will get pissed off at Texas because of the TV deal. Revenue is not being shared equally. Give us a&m so we'll have the TV market, and please please please take ar-kansas with you, then you can revive some of those old Southwest Conference rivalries. Oh, and Dan Beebe is a dumbass.
bingo. beebe has had the short horns dick stuck in his throat. to the expense of all the other schools in the lil 10. it is texass, then ou/osu, then every one else be damned. it is the inequities in the conference that have caused it to implode. not the sec.
