1. Miami (SP) -- The BCS executive committee announced today that it would institute the "Oklahoma Rule" beginning with the 2005 football season. The new rule states that if there is a three-team consideration when the BCS selects the match-up for the National Championship game, the two teams "not named Oklahoma" will be chosen.
Oklahoma was trounced by USC in this year’s championship game. In 2004, the Sooners, a controversial pick after laying down 35-17 to Kansas State in the Big 12 championship game, were beaten by LSU 21-14 in the BCS championship game at the Sugar Bowl.

”I'm sure Oklahomans are nice people, but we now realize that the real problem with our system is
Oklahoma," a BCS official told the Sporting Press. "The Oklahoma Rule will now allow for the two BEST teams to compete each year and will end the embarrassment of one team “giving up” after only one quarter of play."

In a related story, The BCS is also considering banning
Michigan from participating in future Rose Bowls, stating it is bad for the sport to have one particular team travel such great distance only to lose. A BCS spokesman said, “It would be better for Michigan to consistently lose in a lesser bowl game, perhaps closer to Detroit”.

  2. NICE...I'll miss seeing Coach Sour Grapes at half time, whining about things that have nothing to do with the game.
  3. Mr Peabody surely wont' like this.
  4. I think the BCS finally found the problem. Hawker congrats on the recruiting class so far yall are tearing it up.
