Evidentally if we would have gone undefeated this season, and USC loses to UCLA, Texas loses to A&M and Colorado, we still would only be 2nd in their poll behind a one loss penn state team.

Edit: Actually, I just removed the Tenn game, no way to see how it would be if we had won it.

I'll be updating the original post as games end. Things are looking good for LSU, but nothing can happen without a USC or Texas loss.

    stars are aligning for LSU....

but a arkansas blowout wouldve definetly helped LSU...

    USC/Texas needs to lose...

I still think Penn St not playing the final 2 weeks is helping LSU more than a close Arkansas game is hurting LSU, especially WHEN we beat Georgia.

The stars ARE aligning because Nevada is leading Fresno St. by 14.

You guys are a little too optimistic, IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see PSU jump LSU in the Harris. They made a big move right behind LSU last week (now only 45 out of some 2,500 points), and all LSU did was turn in an underwhelming performance on national TV this time around.

LSU falls behind in even 1 human poll and it's lights out. They have to punish Georgia next week to repair some of the "damage" done by a too-close Arky win...speaking purely from a voter's standpoint.

I, for one, have spit the bit. I fully expect PSU to get Roses should UT or USC fall (they won't) next week, so I'm glad to see S. Florida lose and clear the way for an 11-1 LSU and 10-1 W. Va to tee it up in the Sugar Bowl.

Wow, LSU really won the SOS game today. Almost every team that we needed to win did. We can only cross our fingers for a USC/Texas loss. We will easily pass Penn St with a win over UGA, especially if we get as much help in SOS as we had today. I updated the original post, btw.
